Director – Professor Beata Książkiewicz, PhD
Professor Beata Książkiewicz is the founder and artistic director of Fouetté Academy of Classical Ballet and a globally respected expert in ballet pedagogy and choreography.
She is a graduate with distinction from GITIS Moscow (State Institute of Theatre Arts), one of the world’s most prestigious ballet and theatre academies. She holds a PhD in dance and has devoted her life to the development of professional ballet education, with a special focus on the Vaganova method.
Currently, Professor Beata serves as:
- Head of the Dance Department at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (FCUM) in Warsaw
- Senior Lecturer at FCUM, teaching:
- Ballet Pedagogy
- Artistic Dance and Didactics – Early School Stage
- Historical Dance, Methodics of Historical Dance
- Characteristic Dance, Methodics of Character Dance
- Author of official university curricula for these subjects
Her expertise blends deep academic knowledge with practical experience as a teacher, choreographer, and lecturer.
Professor Książkiewicz is also the originator and co-organizer of the International Young Dancers’ Festival, first held in Denmark (2004) and hosted annually in different countries. The festival is accompanied by the International Symposium on Dance Promotion for Children and Youth, uniting ballet schools and educators from across the globe.
At Fouetté Academy, she guides the pedagogical team with vision, discipline, and dedication to artistic excellence, cultivating dancers who embody both technical mastery and expressive artistry.
